This is a perfect!! Because the unit is made from stainless steel, it should last for a long time and not discolor or bend. it likes to make a slightly smaller scoop- which I need portion control and A+++!!! place the scoop in a bowl or mug of warm water for a few minutes before using. If not... the liquid still responds pretty well to the body heat from your hands, so just holding it for a minute or two should make sure it works pretty well. My fiances hand was not hurting after trying to get dessert and my old one is in the garbage! DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER!!! This IS a professional ice cream scooper!!
